Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 Impacts the Dubai Real Estate Market Positively
The FIFA World Cup 2022, held in Qatar, not only positively impacted the economy of Qatar but Dubai as well. Real estate developer ZaZEN Properties, in November, had forecasted the impact of the World Cup on Dubai predicting a significant boost in sales.
As per Prince Eshalomi, Sales Director at Powerhouse Real Estate, the FIFA World Cup 2022 has led to “a positive effect on the Dubai Market.”
Alex Galtsev, CEO and Founder of Realiste stated a 50% increase in local rental prices: in the city within three months of the tournament. This significant hike is due to a demand for leasing in Dubai. The visa programs and affordable housing are comparatively low compared to the New York and London markets. The FIFA World Cup 2022 has just boosted the attention that the region gets.
Galtsev also stated that investors are looking into “Buying apartments for renting them out as a wise investing strategy.”
